The steering committee of DECOVALEX-2019 are pleased to announce a symposium on “Coupled Processes in Radioactive Waste Disposal”. To be held in the historic Swiss town of Brugg on the 4th and 5th of November 2019, the symposium will address the following themes:

  • Engineered Barrier Systems
  • Coupled processes in argillite
  • Coupled processes in crystalline rocks
  • Coupled processes in salt
  • Fundamental microscale processes
  • Emerging processes and methods in experiments and mathematical modelling
  • Treatment of coupled possesses in performance assessment
  • Cross-cutting coupled processes in geo-applications

The symposium will include internationally recognized keynote speakers and researchers focusing on all areas of coupled processes associated with radioactive waste disposal and will also provide exciting insights from the latest phase of the DECOVALEX project.
